Position:          Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

Status:             Part-time (~10 hours weekly), Variable

Description:     A paraprofessional support person who gives basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to WIC pregnant and Breastfeeding mothers.

Qualifications:   (Per grant guidelines)

  • a woman of the community, with similar characteristics (i.e. age, race, cultural ethnicity, education and socioeconomic level) of WIC participants. (Professional staff, older women or women of disparate backgrounds or characteristics are not appropriate as peer counselors.)
  • previous or current WIC participation, or other women from the community with breastfeeding experience and an enthusiasm for breastfeeding may be recruited, hired, and trained to be a peer counselor
  • must have breastfed at least one baby (within the last five years), but does not have to be currently breastfeeding

Position:       Home Care Biller

Status:          Full-time, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Mon-Fri

Description:  Responsible for Home Health and Hospice Medicare Billing, Home Health and Hospice Public Aid Billing (including Room & Board), Hospice NOE’s, Hospice Monthly Reporting and Insurance Contracting.

Qualifications:  Home Care billing and / or accounting experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. IT problem-solving skills a plus.



Position:          Occupational Therapist

Status:             PRN (as needed), Variable

Description:        Improves the level of independence of Home Care patients by providing prescribed exercises and therapy as per physician order.

Qualifications:    IL driver’s license and OT license required.


Position:          Early Childhood Development Specialist

Status:             Full-time (32 hours weekly), Mon-Thurs

Description:     A certified parent educator implements the Parents as Teachers (PAT) model, emphasizing parent-child interaction, development-  centered parenting and family well-being in their work with families.

Qualifications:  HS diploma with minimum of 2 years supervised experience working with young children and/or parents minimum requirement. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, health, psychology, or a related field with 60 hours in early childhood development. PAT certification required and may be acquired after hire.
