The health department was also involved in several other activities designed to give youth an increased ability to interact and develop with positive tendencies. Just a few of these are:
- Volunteer/Peer Mentoring
- Esteem Building Workshops
- Dance/Youth Activities
- Adult Learning Opportunities
- Abuse Awareness/Prevention Activities
Among the numerous other activities were presentations on lead, nutrition, and communicable diseases.
The Health Department offers a wide variety of services and is constantly exploring new ones. If you have any questions about the services provided by the Clay County Health Department or would like a speaker for your group, you may contact us by phone at (618) 662-4406 or stop in and talk to the staff. Our normal office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
